Shaffer has a long history in mixer manufacturing, dating back to the 1960’s when BEW mixers were constructed under the experienced hand of Don Shaffer. The Shaffer family then set out to develop and manufacture their own designs in the 1980’s and introduced the open frame mixer as early as 1990.
The company changed ownership from the Shaffer family a couple times before being acquired by the Bundy family in 2007. The company has since relocated to Urbana, Ohio where it shares production facilities with RTB and is in close proximity to the corporate headquarters and American Pan® production facility.
